Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)

PD uses the lining of your abdomen (the peritoneum) as a natural filter. Fluid is placed into your abdomen through a soft catheter, stays for a period of time, then drains. You can do this during the day (manual exchanges) or overnight with a cycler machine.

Home hemodialysis (HHD)

HHD uses a dialysis machine at home. Treatments may be shorter and more frequent than in-center dialysis, or scheduled overnight. Many patients feel stronger and more flexible with their day.
